Hello everyone! This week I will be sharing my quick weekend trip to Rome with you! My friend Sally and I left on a Saturday morning flight and returned to Valencia today (Monday afternoon). It was such a quick trip but we were still able to hit everything that we wanted to- you know… like homemade pasta. 😉
Today, enjoy pictures from our visit to some of the most ancient Roman sites- the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill! The fact that remains from these sites still exist just blows me away- the history in Rome is amazing.
Tip: All three sites are included in one ticket, which means you can buy your ticket at Palatine Hill, the least popular destination of the three, and skip the line to the other two. What we ended up doing was arriving to Palatine Hill right when it opened at 8:30am to about 10 people in front of us. The line to the Colosseum was already extremely long at that time. Once we finished exploring Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, we headed to the Colosseum (where the ticket line was even longer than earlier) and walked right in, not having to wait at all! Also, tickets on the first Sunday of the month are free- talk about good timing on our part!
