After saying goodbye to the stunning and beautiful city of Paris, Taylor and I hopped on a plane and headed to Valencia. I was so excited to welcome my first visitor to my home city of three months. After trying to pack so much sightseeing and activities into one weekend, we both arrived in Valencia feeling pretty exhausted. We decided right away that we would take it easy for the next few days and gear up for the next weekend in Madrid! I said goodbye to my host family and moved into an Airbnb apartment Taylor had rented for the week. Since the host family cooks for me every night, I rarely go out for tapas or dinner. Having Taylor here was a welcome excuse for me to try new restaurants and tapas bars in Valencia! Warning, this post contains a multitude of food/drink pictures!

One new to me (and new to the blog) activity that we did this week was to visit the National Ceramics Museum. Remember this building from my “Walk to School” post? This late baroque style building contains 18th century carriages, 19th century rooms, medieval ceramics and a collection of traditional tiles.

I told you, endless grub photos. Playing tour guide and showing Taylor around Valencia was so much fun, I don’t want her to leave! Right now, I am just very grateful that we have a few remaining days together in Madrid! More on that later…
