Here we are with our last day in Madrid and sadly, also the last day of our trip. We started the day with a nice walk to Paraiso del Jamon (Ham Paradise), a place that truly lives up to it’s name. Take a look…

Here we enjoyed a typical Spanish breakfast of toasted bread, tomato spread, freshly squeezed orange juice, and coffee.

We then started to make our way towards the Prado Museum but really took our time enjoying the weather and the relaxed Sunday atmosphere of the city.

After spending a few hours in the Prado (sorry, no pictures this time!), we made our way through Buen Retiro Park which was bustling with both tourists and locals alike, all taking in the beautiful day!

At this point, we had just a short hour before I had to make my way to the train station. We spent that hour the best way we know how…

Last batch of chocolate and churros… sad, sad day for the both of us!

The 10 days with Taylor absolutely flew by and I hated to see her go! She made it back safely to Seattle and is once again busy with work. She texted me after her first day and said, “Now that I am back in my routine, it feels like I never left.” I feel exactly the same way about school, but luckily we have pictures and incredible memories to remind us of our amazing vacation! Thanks for being my first guest, Taylor. Who’s next?! 🙂
